Worship Meetings

We have two worship meetings every Sunday. Our all age worship meeting in the morning is fun and dynamic with puppet shows and craft activities for the children, lively worship and applied teaching. Our evening service still has lively worship and applied teaching, just not so much laid on for the kids.

Worship meetings every Sunday at 11am and 6pm at Honley Village Hall.

Home Groups

fellowship group

Our two home groups meet fortnightly. The Tuesday home group meets at the home of Chris and Chris Rose. The Thursday home group meets at the home of Andy and Carol Pullan.

The next Tuesday home group is at 7.30pm,on the 31st January, at the home of Chris & Chris Rose, 31 Oldfield Road, Honley.
The next Thursday home group is at 8.15pm, on the 2nd February, at the home of Carol and Andy Pullan, 48 Derwent Road, Honley.

Prayer Meetings

We hold prayer meetings fortnightly at the home of Pastor Ian Sharp.

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday 9th February, at 45 Meltham Road, Honley, at 8pm, for one hour.

Women’s Group

We meet every other Friday at 1:30pm for fellowship, Bible study and prayer. You are welcome to bring pre-school children.

Our next meeting will be on Friday 10th February, at 1.30pm, 1 Lea Rise, Honley.

Stony Lane Home Group

Tuesday 7th February at 2.15pm.
At the home of John & Glynne Bacon: 43 Stony Lane, Honley.

This is a group particularly for those unable to get to the existing evening meetings. Talk to John or Glynne for details.

Theology Forum

Tuesday, 7th February, at 8.15pm.

At the home of Andy & Carol Pullan, 48 Derwent Avenue, Honley. This month’s subject is: Death and the Intermediate state. (Chapter 41 of Grudem’s). You may wish to consider his questions at the end of the chapter as a starting point for discussion.

Alpha Courses

Thursdays at 1.30pm.
At the Flying Ferret, Shelley.

Thursdays at 7.30pm.
At Café Plus, 23 Westgate, Honley. During our time together we will share a pudding, hear a talk, and have a time of informal discussion. Questions are welcome, and all points of view will be respected.

The Alpha Course meets weekly, for seven weeks:

Feb 9th — Why did Jesus die?

Feb 16 — How can we have faith?

Feb 23rd — Why and how do I pray?

March 1st — Why and how I should read the Bible?

March 8th — How does God guide us?

March 15th -– Who is the Holy Spirit?

Ladies Event – Floral Art

Wednesday February 29th, 7.30 to 9.30p.m.

At Café Plus in Honley. Demonstration by Liz from Gert’s Florist. Do come along and join us and please bring a friend to what promises to be a very enjoyable evening.

The prayer chain exists so that we can quickly communicate urgent prayer needs amongst us. Prayer requests can be rung through to Pastor Ian (01484 323978) and a SMS text can be sent within minutes to prayer chain participants. If you would like to receive prayer texts please give your SMS enabled telephone number to Ian. You can also opt for prayer information by e-mail.
